چکیده
Laparoscopy procedures are useful tools to perform some assisted reproductive biotechnologies in ewes, it requi-res general anesthesia and manoeuvres that might result alteration of the cardiopulmonary function. For this reason, study aimed investigate effects oxygen supplementation as a therapeutic measure mitigate these alterations ewes submitted laparoscopic ovum pick-up (LOPU) under total intravenous (TIVA). Twenty-four healthy adult were two LOPUs with 21 days interval, ketamine-midazolam anesthesia, receiving each experimental random order, treatment (OT) 50 mL/kg/min via endotracheal tube control (CT) not receive any inhalation treatment. Heart rate (HR), respiratory (fR), peripheral saturation (SpO2), mean arterial pressure (MAP), rectal temperature (RT), end-tidal CO2 concentration (EtCO2) recovery time evaluated during LOPU, blood gases electrolytes after induction at end LOPU. Variables compared between groups moments using ANOVA. MAP, SpO2, PaO2, SaO2 pH higher OT, while EtCO2, PaCO2, loss lower. These results allow conclude oxy-gen LOPU TIVA provides benefits order physiological alterations.

Transvaginal Ultrasound-guided Ovum Pick-up (OPU) in Cattle
The technique of ultrasound-guided transvaginal follicular aspiration for ovum pick-up (OPU), is a non-invasive procedure for recovering oocytes from antral follicles in live animals. It was developed in the human [1,2] to assist human infertility. When people realized its application prospect, considerable researches have been aimed at applying this technology in the bovine. In 1987, an ultras...
متن کاملOvum pick-up in cattle: a 25 yr retrospective analysis
Repeated oocyte collection by transvaginal ultrasound-guided follicular puncture (Ovum Pick-Up: OPU), implicitly associated to in vitro embryo production (IVEP), has become alternative and competitive to superovulation for embryo production in cattle. It is alternative because it can be applied successfully irrespective of the reproductive status of the donor, i.e. in pregnant and acyclic anima...
متن کاملTotal intravenous anesthesia produces outcomes superior to those with combined intravenous–inhalation anesthesia for laparoscopic gynecological surgery at high altitude
Objective We compared efficacy and adverse outcomes following totally intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) versus combined intravenous-inhalation anesthesia (CIVIA) on hemodynamics and postoperative recovery following laparoscopic gynecological (LG) surgery at high altitudes. Methods We enrolled 80 ASA I or II patients scheduled for LG surgery and randomly assigned them to TIVA with propofol (group P,...
متن کاملComparison of Total Intravenous Anesthesia (TIVA) with Inhalation Anesthesia in Pediatric Bronchoscopy
Background: Because of airway stimulations during the bronchoscopy and lack of direct access to the airway, preferred method of anesthesia for rigid bronchoscopy is already controversial. In this study we compared inhalation anesthesia with total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) for rigid bronchoscopy. Method and Materials: 30 patients aged 2-6 years were chosen divided on two same groups. Anesthe...

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES In this study, we aimed to assess implicit and explicit memory in patients who had abdominal surgery under total intravenous anesthesia (TIVA) with propofol and remifentanil, in which anesthesia level was controlled by bispectral index (BIS) monitoring. METHOD Total intravenous anesthesia was administered to 60 adult patients, to obtain BIS levels of 40-60. Patients ...
